Hi all.
Im looking for some advice please. I have been with my partner for 7 years…. He’s always been a bit on the ( gets shitty if he doesn’t get his own way ) side of things but just recently it’s really starting to annoy me. I’ve found myself feeling guilty for things I shouldn’t do… saying sorry just to keep the peace. I honestly feel like I’m walking on egg shells. Which is something I really don’t want to live like.
i had a chat to him earlier and it seems like I’m the one with the problem. Has anyone else been in a long term relationship like this. We have amazing days together for weeks then all of be sudden he gets shitty about tiny things … dragging it on for days ! I honestly feel like I have massive anxiety of what’s going to happen next.

Feeling like you’re on eggshells is a warning sign that things might not be so good, OP. Is he controlling? Do you feel relaxed around him? Usually you don’t need to seek advice on a person’s behaviour when you are fully at ease. Just bear that in mind. Have you someone you can speak to IRL, a friend or family member?

I had an ex like this. Our lives centred around whether or not he’d had a good night’s sleep, and he could sulk for days if I’d done something to offend him.

I’m now in a very happy and normal relationship and he’s still single at 45 and probably always will be.

It's quite hard to say without more detail but... ultimately you don't have to stay with someone who makes you feel so anxious.
