Pret is fucking disgusting anyway, and they’re pretty well known for having horrendous food safety. I can’t understand why people go there at all to be honest.

What's this based on? They have excellent hygiene inspection ratings

Ktime · 26/03/2023 10:15

If you really thought you were getting food poisoning from somewhere, you wouldn’t go there 4 times. That would be a stupid thing to do.

Rainbowshit · 26/03/2023 10:16

Nope. Never felt unwell and I eat pret food all the time.

Thisismeyeah · 26/03/2023 10:16

YABU for this thread, are you going to actually give people information or is the intention to Drip feed?

Probably refused her a refund after she ate all her food.

EmotionalSupportWyrm · 26/03/2023 10:17

Pret has always been my "go to" place for lunch when out and about - pretty much since they opened and in many different cities. Never had a problem.

Not when it happens sometimes and not others

Do you always buy exactly the same thing? No. So it wouldn't necessarily happen every time.

Moltenpink · 26/03/2023 10:18

Mild food poisoning really isn’t a thing.

Multiple occasions of them killing people.

Stugs · 26/03/2023 10:19

You can't get mild food poisoning.

My SIL is always talking about having had food poisoning. What she means is that she eats loads of food really fast and then feels sick.

I have had food poisoning once, on a flight back from China and I wanted to actually die.

Are you referring to the allergy issues?

bruffin · 26/03/2023 10:20

Think Prets is the new MacDonald/gregss for MN to virtue signal about

qwertykeyboards · 26/03/2023 10:21

Yabu to keep getting food from a place you think gives you food poisoning.

That must have been horrible! It would be my worst fear being ill like that on a flight.

Poblano · 26/03/2023 10:23

I presume you've contacted environmental health to report it and submitted a stool sample to verify the food poisoning?

Environmental health take food poisoning very seriously and will certainly be investigating if it's a recurring issue. But they do need evidence.

WandaWonder · 26/03/2023 10:24

So a doctor has told you what you are having food poisoning from there or are you using your own medical degree?

Stugs · 26/03/2023 10:24

Honestly it's making me feel panicked just thinking about it. They wouldn't let me have any water and I was so desperately thirsty

AudreyBabs · 26/03/2023 10:25

I am a pret baguette and take offence to this.

BreviloquentBastard · 26/03/2023 10:25

I got food poisoning from a restaurant once, I was sat on a toilet with a bucket on my knees for five days wishing for death. There is no "mild" food poisoning, you probably just have an intolerance or ate too fast.

Regardless, stop going there? Why keep buying something if it makes you feel unwell? Just so you have something to moan about?

GoodChat · 26/03/2023 10:26

It's clearly not food poisoning. It's going to be an intolerance.

Tomkirkman · 26/03/2023 10:28

Who diagnosed ‘mild food poisoning’?

and I assume it’s the only thing you have eaten on these days?

If you really think you have had food poisoning 4 times from one place, you need to report it and question why you went back the third and fourth time.

Redkettle · 26/03/2023 10:28

My family member just had confirmed food poisoning, they couldn't walk for 4 weeks and lost about 2 stone. All going through public health. If u think that's what it is why go back. Next time could be worse

ilovewispas · 26/03/2023 10:29

Sure it's not gluten sensitivity?

Depending on how much gluten I've had recently, a baguette can trigger mine. If I've had none in ages, I might be ok with one baguette.

Howtolikeit · 26/03/2023 10:30

WhoStoleMyTiddyOggy · 26/03/2023 10:05

I choose different bagettes each time but I don't always get bad guts after

Is it always the same branch?

I only really eat Pret at the airport, but I’ve never been ill from it.

Over40Overdating · 26/03/2023 10:30

Mild food poisoning isn’t a thing. And why would you continuously eat at a place you suspected was making you sick?

Weird post and the only one coming off dodgy is you.
