To get help from the NHS/ask for your advice

Struggling to get help from NHS. Any recommendations of what I can do to get help.

In February I woke up with sharp pain in chest and a very stiff shoulder in the morning 4 or 5 times. Went away. Ignored it.

Last week woke up at 2am with pain nearly on a level with child birth contractions (early ones). Shooting pains through chest. Pain down both arms. Tingling. Legs like jelly. Pain in right hand side. Couldn't stand with the pain. Was on the floor. I'm not a dramatic person at all.

Ended up in A&E. They found heart mumour and slightly "unusual blood test results" but said both were "insignificant". Morphine helped.

Now at home and for some reason my right shoulder is on fire. Shooting pain through my entire shoulder. Going for days. Breath is very short. Feel I can't breath properly

GP says it all sounds like tension and panic attacks and to manage with light exercise and pain killers.

But the pain is constant. But in different places. I thought perhaps it was panic attacks but that doesn't make your shoulder on fire for days? It feels like I've just got pains Shooting from plaxe to place in my torso.

Any advice on what it could be or who I could see? The pain is bad enough so I'm finding it hard to do anything

I did a stomach virus 6 weeks ago but doctors in A&E dismissed that. I'm in good health. Average weight. Though I don't exercise and I do drink too much.

Any advice. I can't find anything online

Tbh with those symptoms I'd go back to a&e again.

Right shoulder pain can be a symptom of ectopic pregnancy or appendicitis

Came on to say this when I saw the symptoms too

They did a pregnancy test before taking an Xray of my heart and all clear on that front. Thanks for advice. The GP and cardiologist suggested it's stress related but can that cause constant pain? I don't feel particularly stressed. Apart from the pain doing my head in!

Before my DH was diagnosed with anxiety he had very real physical symptoms. Are you doing anything to combat the stress they say is causing it ?

PainProblems · 23/03/2023 22:00

Trying to @DustyLee123 taken week off work. I lay on the sofa today watching this morning and drinking herbal tea and yet still sharp pain shooting down my shoulder and up to my neck. Hard to keep being told it'd anxiety when I don't feel anxious. I guess I probably have a lot on my plate but no more than usual!

How much are you drinking OP?
What else is going on in your life?

VerityUnreasonble · 23/03/2023 22:12

Did they do your vitamin levels in the bloods? I had all sorts of weird pains / numbness / tingling when my B12 / vit D was ridiculously low.

PainProblems · 24/03/2023 15:25

Went to the GP and he listened for 3 mins and wrote me a prescription for anti depressants and asked if I'd like 2 weeks off work. Gah!

Thanks for help all. Will look into taking some vitamins @VerityUnreasonble
