Soffits, fascias and gutters

Has anyone had theirs replaced recently?

We've been quoted £6,200 by a large national company which seems insane. It's a mid-terrace so quite straight forward. Estimated to be 20m of length needed, black uPVC.

Please tell me that's ridiculous? Or is that the going rate now?

I just had all mine done for £1100.

LakieLady · 23/03/2023 19:09

Had mine done in November 2020, so not all that long ago, and it was around £2k, including the scaffolding.

House is a 2-bed semi, and at a guess, approx the same length required as yours.

Over £300/m definitely sounds ridiculous! Have they broken the quote down so you can see where the bulk of the cost is?

Potplant19 · 23/03/2023 19:16

No, we have asked them to break it down and they've sent a list of what's included but not itemised by cost. We were expecting about half that, so it came as a bit of a shock!

We live north of the Humber and were quoted £19k to do Sofits, facias and gutters without need for scaffolding (just a tower) as large dormer bungalow chalet style! £12k if I took up place of a cancellation that day 🤔 loads of dodgy firms up here.

4 bed detached house, done 6 months ago, paid 2800

LittleRebelGirl · 23/03/2023 20:42

3 bed semi, North West England. Quote was £999 (on an offer).

Just resurrecting this as we need to replace soffits on an end of terrace house in Hertfordshire - wondered if anyone has a company that they recommend! Thanks.
