Help me out here!
So approaching a roundabout. 3 lanes. I assumed left lane was for those taking the first exit. Middle lane for straight on. Right hand lane for taking the 3rd exit (pretty much right round roundabout in this case) or going back the way we came (so completely encircling roundabout).
I wanted to go straight ahead and got in middle lane. Flashy, brand new Porsche on my left, in left lane. He had his roof down (convertible), man inside with shades! (It wasn't particularly sunny here today! But that's another thread!!). I assumed he was turning left by taking the first exit.
Anyway, we both set off onto roundabout together and he continued past the first exit and cut me up by pulling in front of me as I tried to take the exit to go straight ahead. I was in a good mood, so not overly bothered and pulled back to let him go ahead. Assumed he'd made a mistake. We all do, fair enough.
But then when he was in front of me he was shaking his head in a 'tut tut' motion and looking in his rear view mirror at me disapprovingly and shaking his head and wiggling his finger. It pissed me off because I'm pretty sure he was the one in the wrong. My immediate thought was 'knob. Fancy car, small dick!'
So YABU = he was right, you are in the wrong. (It's been nearly 30 years since I took my driving test so maybe I've misremembered the highway code. I am prepared to be told I'm wrong and I should have been in the left hand lane and he was right (although a bit knobby) to tut!)
YANBU - he was in the wrong and must have small attributes! You r right to be pissed off that he made you out to be in the wrong
