Sometimes I don't shave my legs and I'm a woman. Does that make me/my legs gross?

but it seems a lot of the posts are about the legs being male because of the hair. Women have hairs in their legs, a lot get rid of it, but some don’t. Doesn’t make those that don’t any less feminine. My brother shaves his legs as he was a triathlete and he prefers it. Doesn’t make him any less of a man. Jeez, thought we’d got over all this gender stereotype nonsense.

That they're ugly - yes I think they are but I've seen worse.

That the legs are hairy? If it's a woman she's entitled to have her legs as hairy as she likes, surely. And if you're saying it's the unholiness of the hairy legs that's an issue then either you're not a very good feminist or think that Transwomen should also shave their legs.

But they're a man's legs? Well yes, but a man can wear whatever shoes he likes - that's at the very core of GC feminism, right? That we have no objection to men wearing traditionally ' feminine' apparel and that if they did that rather than go full on LadyDick we'd have less problems.

I completely agree with you, I can't see what the problem is here

As long as they are as squishy as they look. I appreciate the shock absorption qualities of a croc so maybe I'm the target audience. Shame they aren't being advertised with and overweight middle aged woman though!

Why are you all so bothered by these shoes! I can guarantee in a few years some watered down version of these will find it's way onto the shelves of your local sainsburys TU section and you will lap em up. It happens allll the time.

The lack of a strap to actually hold them on the foot bothers me. And they remind me of some sort of children's craft set- maybe with a hot glue gun type thing to spew gunk onto everything.
I have no opinion on the style, because style isn't a thing I have in any measurable quantity. I like Crocs.

The pastel colour ones pink/grey/blue aren't actually that bad. The bright ones maybe fun for holiday by the pool for a woman but I can't see any of the men I know willing to wear these maybe I live a sheltered life

They look exactly like the shoes that were in fashion when I was about 5, which is exactly the era of fashion that’s coming back in. Unisex clothing is also a huge market at the moment, it actually bugs me because there’s a brand who sell gorgeous unisex rugby jersey/sweatshirt type clothing but because I’m about 50kg less than DH, I need a women’s small and he’d need a men’s XL so we can’t share like the couples in the adverts do. Men’s trainers with a block-wedge heel have been in fashion for years now, this really isn’t a new phenomenon. I don’t like them but it’s nothing to write home about - and the strange assumption that leg hair only exists on men is odd.

I think those shoes are the ugliest shoes since Crocs but I couldn't care less whether they are being worn by men or women or whether the model has shaved their leg or painted their toe nails.
