I've had a migraine all weekend I only had it three times in the last 3 years I think and I've vomited from the pain in my eyes and back of head

Have been vomiting all day and I've now started getting sick bile

The script is being prepared now for sumatriptan but I've read horror stories now I'm scared
But I'm in excruciating pain

I am struggling to use the screen but my husband can loook at responses on here

Thank you

Sumatriptan is an absolute fucking miracle.

You just need to stick to the rule of -

No more than 2 a week
No more than 6 in a month

And you will be fine, no risk of overuse headache.

A warning about serotonin syndrome comes up when GPs prescribe it but according to my neurologist this is over caution and not an issue in real life.

Dihydrocodeine has no role in migraine (you can tell yourself it isn't working) and is highly addictive. I'd chuck them in the bin.

@NooNooHead1981

Oh you poor thing, is that moving your jaw? I think that's what happened to some of my husbands patients, who took "old school" anti psychotics.

Thank you for your kind and honest reply. I am so, sorry to read about your story and how you suffer

If the condition doesn't cause you pain or suffering perhaps you would consider taking them and just having the movements so at least you aren't in pain

Much love

I lost 6 days to that migraine
I'm only about human today

Yesterday every part of my body ached

Head still sore around the edges and eyes

I'm so shocked

so glad you’re feeling better. But yes, I guess that’s why so many of us are calling sumatriptan miraculous.

I used to spend a week of every month incapacitated due to migraine. but I’ve been taking Triptans for 20 years and haven’t suffered any adverse effects.
