I already think I am BU 😅
But I really need washing tips. Up til now I have done a general 'anything but whites' in one go on the 'mixed' setting of my machine and then all the whites in another go on the same setting. Literally everything
I put a washing pod in and also fabric softener each time too

Zero thought elsewhere about how to do the washing and I am starting to ruin clothes by doing so.

In particular my whites - how do you wash and keep whites white? I buy nice white plain tops and then find they fade really quickly.

Can you please give me any and every washing tip you have so I can wise up and start doing our washing properly?

Use powder for whites as powders contain bleaches that liquids and pods don't. Wash whites by themselves. Add a scoop of vanish type powder too.

I also do a light colours and a dark colours wash as well as the white one

Clothes have labels on them to advise you how to wash them ,brush up on what they mean and match to the washes on your machine .

Dry your whites outside to take advantage of the bleaching power of the sun

I never wash whites separately, other than the sheets, they just go in with anything that isn't dark. However, they stay white. I use powder, and cool water, and dry them outside. I really never understand the grey looking whites other people seem to have - what on earth do they do to them?

I wash whites with whites. Towels always separately. Bedding always separately.
Pastels with pastels.
Dark colours together.
Delicates on handwash setting.
Don’t overfill the machine, the clothes won’t wash well.
Don’t use fabric conditioner, it’s the devil’s snot.

A small scoop of Napisan in with whites is brilliant for brightening them when they start to look a bit dingy.
