To not agree with this

Somebody I know is going to be rehoming a 3 month old cross breed puppy from a family who can no longer cope with her as they have yours children.

They are giving her away for free but the person I know who is having her is a stranger to them, it was advertised on Facebook that she is free to a good home and was shared a lot. Aibu to not agree with this?

Yanbu. This is irresponsible. People who do illegal dogfighting take “free to a good home” dogs to use as bait for fighting dogs. The puppy could end up getting horribly tortured and killed. Tell this person to take the puppy to the Dogs Trust, RSPCA or any decent rescue. It will cost them nothing and the rescues are completely non-judgmental.

If the puppy is 3 months old they will only have had it themselves for about 4 weeks so obviously people who don’t care and don’t want to make any kind of effort . Obviously they are going about it the wrong way but hopefully the pup will be better off with your friend .

They are irresponsible in every sense. Firstly for taking the puppy on with young children (is not as if their young children are a fresh surprise that's just popped up), secondly for barely even trying to assimilate the puppy into their home, and then thirdly for just shoving it off to the first person who wants it.
