I criticised a woman's parking in a car park the other day

She parked in the middle of the car park as she could not find a space, thus making it very tricky for other cars to get out.

I told her it wasn't a good idea to park in the middle of the car park like that and we had a fairly short exchange of opinion.

I think people should park in marked spaces only.

I made a sarcastic remark to someone taking up a space big enough for 2 cars on my street a long while ago and she patiently explained to me that she parked like that as her parallel parking/ tight spot manoeuvering skills were poor and she was worried about not being able to get out of a smaller space.

I later found out that she was a police woman !

when my kids were in nursery there were really bad parking problems - cars parked all over the grass. on the pavement etc.

Sometimes I had to leave my car blocking others in and put a note with "dropping of at nursery back in 5 mins, 8.20am" written on it on my dashboard

dropping off

I tried out my very own no-impulse-control-totally-losing-it approach to complaining about being blocked in by an inconsiderate driver, posted an AIBU thread and was properly admonished, BUT, she has never ever parked there since and it used to happen every day

oops forgot point of post, so you were entirely reasonable and are to be applauded for your restraint
