It’s keeps returning or just never goes

A weird cough and cold all my family have. Dd, 4 started with a cough around the end of October and since then illness on and off. I had the bad, fluey thing starting on New Year’s Eve (great) and the horrendous cough. It seems to fade for a few days, then come back again, we get blocked ears, the really strong, horrendous cough, a sore throat and runny nose/blocked up. Dh has it too and it just keeps coming back, what the hell is it? Has anyone else had it and why won’t it go?!
We took Dd to the Drs a while ago because of the cough, she told us it was just a cough and it was bad for lots of people at the moment.
Just sick of it now

I've been like this since I had covid in December. No solutions but I feel for you!

Absolutely the same. Had to cancel a lunch date with friends today as I feel so dreadful and don't want to pass it on. It's since I had Covid at Christmas. One day I'm ok, just annoying cough and cold, others I feel terrible, like flu.

My daughter had this for all of December and January. Ended up on antibiotics for a chest infection. She was completely drained.
I lost my voice out of nowhere in early February and have not felt well since. Cough is driving me insane. Ears continually popping and now I feel full of a cold.

Even better now that the cough medicines have been taken off the shelves!
I can't sleep for the coughing and sinus pain. I think it's fine (just a annoying blocked nose and cough) then three days later, it's back.

Yep. I've had a cough (not covid tested god knows how many times) since September. Gets better and worse with no pattern. Coughing up gak, had antibiotics at one point, made it somewhat better but still not right.
