Work Sucks

Work sucks. I am over 60 and prefer to be "economically inactive" and learn how to be thrifty than subject myself to "performance management" again. I doubt the government will be able to persuade the over 55s to drop their hobbies to go work for NMW in supermarkets, shops and care homes.

PS. The retirement age in UK is one of the highest in Europe.

Hahaha I did this in my head too.

I’ve messed up my pension by not working for several years when my children were young. Retirement age where I live is from 62-67, but I’m going to have to work right up to 67. I’m already exhausted at 54. Congratulations on being able to retire early because work does indeed suck.

Add another one to the tally Grin

I left school at 18 believing that I would retire at 60. (Am now 56, so in 4 years time). Flipping government has moved the goalposts twice and now my state retirement age is 67. Not a happy bunny!
