To be conflicted about job interview?

I am off ill with flu, I’m a bit better today but won’t be able to do my 12 hrs shift tomorrow.
I have a job interview tomorrow at my place of work. I feel like if I dose up enough I could face a 15 min job interview but don’t want to run into my manager as that would be awkward. I don’t also want to annoy my new potential manager by asking to postpone the interview/ conduct via Teams.
What would you do?

I think postponing due to the flu is reasonable. If I were your potential new boss, I wouldn't be impressed that you spreading the flu around.

either way…. Not a chance I would try to sneak in tomorrow for the interview.

are you meant to be at work tomorrow? If so and going to call in sick, then reschedule job interview in your next call

I would contact the person conducting the interview.

Explain that you are off sick with flu. You are very keen to go ahead but don’t want to spread your germs to them therefore could it be done on Teams? If that doesn’t suit say you’ll be back at work from X date to reschedule in person.

Ok great, thanks for the replies. Honestly I wasn’t going to go in and ask to reschedule but I wasn’t sure whether it would be a bad move. Should have trusted my gut- thanks again :)

@ObamaLlamas yes fly :( it’s awful, I thought I had had flu before in my life, turns out not, I feel horrendous!

I would reschedule.

I once attended an interview while sick thinking that if I drugged myself enough and put enough makeup on I could get away with it, but I totally blew it - not only because I still looked and sounded ill but also because brain fog took over so I wasn't very sharp. Lesson learned

Definitely reschedule. I made a terrible decision to go to a job interview with a migraine once. I couldn't string a sentence together. Embarrassing.
