Curious About Weight and Dress Size Comparisons

Sorry, I know this is very nosey, but a friend and I are both trying to lose weight.
And I was surprised to hear that I weigh a little more than her but I'm also a couple of inches taller and we're currently the same dress size.
So was wondering how much everyone's height and weight and dress sizes compare?
I'm 5ft 8in, 13 stone 3lb and a size 16.
(Can squeeze into size 14 trousers, if I don't mind losing all feeling in my legs!!)
Also what did you weigh before having children?
I was between 9 and 10 stone, so cannot believe I have gained 4 stone with 2 children

I'm 5'7", 11st6 and a size 16.

5 ft 3, 9 stone 2.
Size 10-12

I’m 5ft 11, 15st 8lb and a 14-16.

I'm 5'7 and 16 stone and a size 16-18

5ft 4, 9st 13, size 10

5ft 4, 8st 4lb, size 8

It's all about body composition.

5'7, 10 stone 3 lbs and a size 10

5ft 8, slightly over 11stone, size 12 on top, 14 bottoms.

I find this really fascinating. I find people are always surprised if I tell them my weight. I possibly don't look as heavy as I am. Maybe? I'm 5ft 2, wearing size 16-18 (16 on top, 18 on bottom for the most) and I'm 16st 9.

But sizes are pretty meaningless since they vary so much from shop to shop.

And then of course not everyone wears clothes with a zip and button. They're generally harder to get into than a pair of leggings and a stretchy top, so many people would need a bigger size.

I’m 5’6”, weight 10.5 stone & a size 12-14. I have odd distribution though because I lost 10 stone, so have loose skin hanging around my middle.

A lot of this is down to changing sizes/vanity sizing.

In my late teens to mid twenties I was 8st 12lbs and tiny (I didn’t think so at the time but I was) and wore a size 10-12.

I’m now early forties, 2 stone heavier, significantly bigger and I wear a size 12.

5ft5 7&half stone size 4-6 usually a 4

5ft 6. 12.5 stone size 16

5ft 5. 10 stone 5 size 12.

5ft 3. 13.5 but on the way down again. Currently 14/16. At 10 stone I was a 10

Fascinating. I’m 5’3, 11 stone and pear shaped. I am pleased if I can fit into a 14. Most of the time I feel more comfortable in a 16. It does depend on the shop though. I can’t fit into anything in bloody Zara or All Saints.

5'9. Early 40s.No idea how much I currently weigh, but usually between 10.8 and 11. Size 10-14, but generally 12. Was the same pre kids, but with better boobs and less padding on the hips. Bum was higher too. I never throw stuff out, so I'm still wearing clothes from 25 years ago.

I’ve been wondering about this, women my weight and height saying they are a lot smaller, where are you putting it!

5ft 2in 12.5 stone and a size 18/20 trouser and 16/18 top in NEXT. I do like my clothes to have some room in them. I think I may just be extremely wobbly compared to others.

5'10 and a half", 10st 3lbs, size 14 or 16 depending on the brand.
