Been off work for a week with a severe headache and fever which the hospital think it’s an infection but not sure where. Doctor has signed me off for another week with a sick note.

Ive been offered an online interview on Monday, AIBU to have an interview while on sick leave?

Of course it's fine. Most people don't tell their current workplaces about interviews for other jobs.

I hope you’re feeling better soon.

The only thing I’m wondering is that if you’re feeling well enough for an interview, surely you’d be back at work?

I have chronic migraine though so I probably don’t really appreciate your situation!

Good luck with the interview.

The headache does dissipate with codeine however, the fever doesn’t go. I guess the signed off work is a combination of the tiredness from constantly having a high temp and the period in between pain killer doses where it’s very painful.

The interview will likely only last 30-60 minutes so I think I’d be fine.

There's a massive difference between being fit for full time work and fit to do a 30 min interview from home. I think that's fine OP

I voted YABU to do the interview as you won't have enough well time to prep even if you suddenly got 100% better

If you want to job then ask for it to be pushed out a few days maybe Thursday.

Set yourself up for success.

Good luck

Nope, I've just this week hired someone who I interviewed on sick leave. She was very up front about the situation which I admired.

If you feel up to it, why do you need validation from anyone else?
