Successful stories about lymphoma ?

Hi there, I’m posting here for traffic.

My older sister has just been diagnosed with Lymphoma. I just cannot believe it. I feel helpless. She has always been petrified of dying of cancer. Suffers really bad with Health Anxiety. So I know how scared she is. She is like my second mum. I can’t picture life without her. But I also have to be strong for her because she needs as much strength as possible.

Has anyone got any successful stories on Lymphoma? Hers is in her neck/groin. But she has to have a biopsy in a few weeks I’m assuming to see how advanced it is.

Also I know this is a bit stupid to ask but I want to go out & buy her something nice like flowers but I don’t know if that would be a bit too much for her? Thanks x

I wonder if you would be better asking MN to move this or to post again in "Life Limiting Illness" or Health where there is a Cancer thread.

I once worked with someone who was diagnosed with this in her neck at age 25. She had it removed and now she is fine. That was maybe 15 years ago.

My cousin had a stepson who was diagnosed with a Stage 4 lymphoma as a child. That was seven years ago and it has never come back.

My colleague had this when she was 27 and she had 2 year old at the time. She had to have chemotherapy. She's fine now she's 50 with 3 teenagers. I think it probably depends what stage the cancer is at and if it's treatable x
