So, you take two giant buttons that have been in the fridge. (This part is veh veh important and you will see why in a mo mo)

Place two caramel nibbles together against their flat sides. Place the giant buttons flat side down against either side of the nibbles and press together to get a lovely oozy caramel chocolate button sandwich. It’s important that the buttons are cold or they will snap as you squeeze them around the nibbles.

The combination of the cold buttons and the room temp squishy nibbles adds another layer of deliciousness!

Eat! You can bite into it or eat it whole like I do.

Please find photo attached for info.

Now you tell me about your chocolate/sweet creations.

Absolute fucking genius.

BansheeofInisherin · 09/03/2023 12:00

😁Doesn't appeal to me, but take your joy where you can find it, I say. YANBU.

KindergartenKop · 09/03/2023 12:01

That looks lush.

I just put a whole packet of prawn cocktail crisps into a sandwich.

two giant buttons that have been in the fridge.

How do they last long enough to go into a fridge? Confused

LaFemmeDamnee · 09/03/2023 12:04

YABU because the best way to eat them is to put them onto your tongue and let them melt on your mouth. Also your thread title made me think they were going on bread. I tried melting chocolate buttons onto a toasted Scotch pancake to tempt my very poorly DC to eat years ago. Looked amazing but didn't work.

Also if you make fluffy pancakes, you can embed squares of dairy milk caramel in the as you cook them, so they self-sauce. It's fab.

Put the entire pack in the fridge. I usually have at least two packs in the fridge at a time. They do not last as long as they should do.......

I saw a cake sandwich advertised on FB the other day. Apparently they use the off cuts of cake and fill the centre and package like a sandwich - the nutella and the salted caramel looked pretty amazing!

I'd add that I'm a diabetic who can't eat these things but dreams of them instead Sad

Mmmmm, I imagine it would take it to a whole new level if it was wrapped in bread and maybe toasted.

I had a toasted salted caramel hot cross bun the other day filled with chocolate ice cream. It was the best ice cream sandwich I've ever had. DP thought I was disgusting for eating it 😂

ODFOx · 09/03/2023 12:24

Marshmallows, chocolate buttons and a turn of the chilli grinder makes an awesome 'quesadillish'.
Just fold over and melt/crisper in a dry pan. Oozy fabulousness.

ODFOx · 09/03/2023 12:25

In a tortilla obviously!

NuffSaidSam · 09/03/2023 12:26

I like a chocolate button sandwich with peanut butter in the middle.

JudgementalCentipede · 09/03/2023 12:28

As a kid I used to put one Jelly Tot against one Milkybar Button - absolutely delish.

TrackerBar · 09/03/2023 12:31

Ooh, some lovely creations that I deffo will be trying!

I saw this too!! They look yummy but speaking as a reformed chocoholic I don't think I could manage a whole one 🤣🤣

marcopront · 09/03/2023 12:52

You are unreasonable because I can't get any of the ingredients here and now I want one

Lullabies2Paralyze · 09/03/2023 12:53

I used to put crisps in ice cream when I was a child (cheap salty stick type crisps worked best)

Murdoch1949 · 09/03/2023 17:07

I make raspberry sandwiches for my granddaughter - 2 giant Cadbury's buttons with a fresh raspberry in the middle. One of her 5 a day?

Shannith · 09/03/2023 17:13

Me and DD make elevated biscuits. Take a chocolate digestive and top with a mix or all or some Nutella, biscoff, salted caramel sauce, peanut butter, chocolate bits, small marshmallows. Sometimes with cream cheese mixed with vanilla paste to make cheesecake.

Sometimes with ice cream - depends what we have in.

Rauha · 09/03/2023 17:16

My favourite variation of your creation is:

Caramel Nibble - A Marshmallow - Caramel Nibble

Squeeze the caramel nibbles to squash the marshmallow 😋

PortiaWithNoBreaks · 09/03/2023 17:17

Fill a date with crunchy peanut butter, slide in a few chocolate buttons, tiny sprinkle sea salt. Yum.

SausageRoll2020 · 09/03/2023 17:18

Jelly tot atop a (room temperature) Cadbury giant button is fucking sensational.

Also, a mini marshmallow shoved inside a pretzel isn't too bad.

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 09/03/2023 17:19

I do this but the chocolate buttons are hot chips/fries. It melts the chocolate and caramel into the potato. Amazing.

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 09/03/2023 17:26

I just sandwich milk chocolate and white chocolate giant buttons together. The white ones also go well with the mint or orange ones.

Cinnamon23 · 09/03/2023 17:30

When I read the title I thought you were putting chocolate buttons between slices of bread. That might BU.

This, however, is brilliant. YANBU!
