dailysceptic.org/2023/02/27/isle-of-man-suspends-sex-education-classes-after-drag-queen-tells-11-year-olds-there-are-73-genders/

And a child who questioned it was asked to leave the classroom.
Aibu to want children to be left alone to enjoy their childhood?
As an adult I can't get my head around 73 genders.. How can a child process that? Year 7s, 11 years old.

Love them or hate them you can always rely on the Daily Mail & they are reporting it as is not sugar coating it.

Up to 2% of the people are born with sextraits of boths sexes.

This figure is inflated.

"Anne Fausto-Sterling s suggestion that the prevalence of intersex might be as high as 1.7% has attracted wide attention in both the scholarly press and the popular media. Many reviewers are not aware that this figure includes conditions which most clinicians do not recognize as intersex, such as Klinefelter syndrome, Turner syndrome, and late-onset adrenal hyperplasia. If the term intersex is to retain any meaning, the term should be restricted to those conditions in which chromosomal sex is inconsistent with phenotypic sex, or in which the phenotype is not classifiable as either male or female. Applying this more precise definition, the true prevalence of intersex is seen to be about 0.018%, almost 100 times lower than Fausto-Sterling s estimate of 1.7%."

I was horrified when my GC told me what they had been taught in school and that they had to stand up and say how they identify. Just let children keep their innocence for as long as possible.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 08/03/2023 07:50

Sometimes I've even heard transactivists claim that women with PCOS are "intersex".

HipTightOnions · 08/03/2023 07:50

They learn about differences in genders

They don't though, because no one can explain what they are. What is the difference between man-gender and woman-gender? (No, "feeling like a man/woman" doesn't cut it.)

Instead they are given some vague wiffle-waffle by teachers who don't understand what they are saying and the kids are mostly too intimidated to ask the obvious questions.

RosaBonheur · 08/03/2023 07:51

I'd like to know whether any of the people teaching this bollocks can actually explain what gender is.

Leopardprintonsie · 08/03/2023 07:54

Why are they going after the kids. Is it too much to ask for a simple, traditional education. Let very delicate social education to the parents at home to teach their kids when they feel their dc are mature enough to comprehend.
International women's day today & women have never been at more risk. Its disgusting & frightening.

Of course that's being talked about in school. This isn't the handmaid's tale. They learn about differences in genders , sexuality , different family structures, different religions. Why would you want to restrict your own child's understanding of the world

What is the difference between man gender and woman gender then please?

If this is being taught in schools then presumably you can explain.

Maybe if the children are taught there are so many genders and you can be who you want to be, even if you don’t fit in the woman-man stereotypes… they won’t need to have an operation to have the feeling to fit in.

I they’ll also need to learn that the “biological” man-woman division isn’t watertight. Up to 2% of the people are born with sextraits of boths sexes. There is a big taboo still around it. And i think it is an interesting perspective in the whole gender-discussion that even nature sometimes gives us “non-binaries” to deal with.

Don’t confuse things. DSDs (disorders of sex development) has nothing to with this gender bullshit.

The point is Maddy that if you are taught about different religions you aren’t expected to adhere to that religion. You are allowed to question it and if you do you won’t be frogmarched out of a classroom. Gender ideology is a belief system. Some believe and some don’t. That boy who questioned it was sent out of the classroom. Can’t you see there is something wrong there?

It's not their understanding it the world though is it? The majority of children believe there are two genders & rightly so. It is insulting their intelligence to say actually no there's away more genders than that.
In Ireland the government also want primary school childen educated on pronouns. Wtf?

This.

My nephew was born this way they had ti make a decision which was the most feasible and easiest to adapt to he's had several operations bless him already. He's only little. I am unsure of all the details as it's definitely not talked about as the parents don't want anyone to know in case he suffers more physiological as he gets older with people talking about it.

Your nephew has a DSD. Completely different to gender ideology.

Every single human is either male or female including people with DSDs. Sex is binary.

The prevalence of DSDs is nowhere near 2% and it has nothing to do with gender or trans issues.

Blanketchops · 08/03/2023 08:09

My DM likens the 100 gender to the 'Emperor's New Clothes'. Apart from those who've coined the phrase, people think it's ridiculous but are too worried about upsetting people to say. It needs someone/ people to speak up and stand up and say how utterly ridiculous it is.

This is happening more and more now. The ball rolling I hope.

romdowa · 08/03/2023 08:12

There's change being made to the curriculum here in Ireland for primary schools and the government want gender theory taught to young children. Thankfully a vast majority of primary schools have come out and said they will refuse to teach it. People seem overwhelmingly in favour of this refusal as well on social media. It's definitely a step too far for irish parents

Isle of “Man”.
How dare they assume the island’s gender?!?

Isle of Unspecified Gender? 🙄

I think it will be the kids that put a stop to all this nonsense.

Girls in schools are already rioting about having unisex toilets where the boys are opening the doors and putting phones under the doors. I mean d’oh didn’t see that one coming…

The teenagers in my kids schools simply ignore the drama llamas who change their pronouns on a daily basis. One girl in my son‘s class was a ‘he lesbian’ the other day. We just roar with laughter.

The adults need to step up. But we aren’t. So the kids will do it for us.

PearlClutzsche · 08/03/2023 08:17

So @maddy68 you accept and/or agree there there are 73 or maybe 100... or perhaps 1000 different genders? And that, for example, one of them is all about being space-like and celestial?

Ndd135632 · 08/03/2023 08:20

@PearlClutzsche i don’t think Maddy has given it a lot of thought honestly. Already confusing DSDs with gender ideology shows that. But that’s the problem. People haven’t thought this all through and tack it onto the end of other social things like homosexuality. That was the cleverest thing Stonewall did. Tacked the TQAI++++++ onto the LGB. Making everyone think it was a simple extension of homosexuality. It isn’t!!! Being attracted to somebody of the same biological sex has nothing to do with gender which resides in your head.

PearlClutzsche · 08/03/2023 08:20

Anyway, I'll wish you all
Happy International Women's Day, before it's banned, and while we still have a vague idea what a woman is.

Ndd135632 · 08/03/2023 08:21

@PearlClutzsche ha yep. And it’s not Suzy Eddie Izzard I can tell you that much! Yes that’s his new name.

PearlClutzsche · 08/03/2023 08:24

Yes I saw Suzy/Eddie in the news yesterday @Ndd135632
Ridiculous.

Ndd135632 · 08/03/2023 08:26

He’s ‘aving a laugh. I bet he can’t believe he is getting away with it and chuckling to himself. When he isn’t chasing teenage girls out of the women’s toilets that is. The entitlement of these men…🙄

You call it confuse, i call it a view from different angle… in my country we have this “famous tv presenter” intersex person who is really happy they can identify now the way they were born.

Having a DSD (intersex) is genetic @DutchCowgirl

Gender ideology is how you identify in your head.

Completely different. But don’t let facts get in the way.
