Is this chickenpox?

Hi all, I know this doesn't really belong here so apologies - I'm shamelessly looking for a quick answer. DD4 has this rash on the left hand side of her tummy, doesn't seem itchy and hasn't appeared anywhere else, does it look like chickenpox?? I never had it so have no idea what it looks like! Thanks in advance.

Looks like it to me. When my DS had it, the rash came up really quickly and I have just had a vout of shingles and they looked like this too

Bit blurry but it looks like it. Do the spots look like tiny little blisters? I think it usually starts on the tummy / torso.

My 2 only started with odd spots, seems a lot in one place if it's just started now, is it just in that one area?

Badgergirl123 · 05/03/2023 19:17

Yes I'm sorry it's so blurry, bedtime was fraught and I couldn't get the flash on in time!

@lauren83 Yes, it's a lot in just the one area. I've checked the rest of her and nothing. It looks like a nettle rash to me but she's not been exposed to anything like that. Was there this morning and not got any worse in the interim.

It's difficult to tell because it's blurry. I would expect 2 or 3 blisters to start with then more spots to appear.

Lauren83 · 05/03/2023 19:33

I would be tempted to think it wasn't, you should know in the next 24 hours as they spread quickly, this was mine on day 1

I do not think that is chicken pox.
Noticed chicken pox as brighter red dots first day. More spaced out than those.
Then they develop into blister looking bubbles. Spots appear for a few days so some red, some blistered and some dried out.
If it is chicken pox you will know by morning as more around body or first spots have blistered
