Standing for a theatre show

This is not really an AIBU more can I do this. I would like to go and see a show and tickets are really expensive however there are cheap standing tickets high up at the back.

Just wondering if I can stand for 2 1/2 hrs for the show - I'm 50s and fit. Has anyone done this at the theatre or at a concert? Have done a concert but that was years ago. I just don't know if it's worth it for seeing something I really want to see.

What about a walking stick with attached seat?
Approx £40 - or would that cost mean you may as well buy a ticket?!
Sorry - can't do links but some clever soul will be along who can.

Yes might as well buy a seated ticket for that price. Got me thinking maybe I could take a camping chair (like you can for music festivals etc) - I doubt that would be allowed though..

Ugh, you definitely do NOT want the benches at the Duke of Yorks!!! uncomfortable and vertigo inducing!

I have no idea where their standing areas are, though... They are not in the stalls, and are also not by the back walls (all the levels have seating right up to the wall) and if they are to the sides, the view is severely restricted.

Considering I now know which theatre this is, I would say a big no to the standing tickets!

Definitely NOT allowed. Standing is standing. They wont let you sit down, much less with a camping chair.
