To use the mince?

My ds has requested spaghetti bolognese for dinner.
I vaguely recalled having mince in the freezer and have just got it out to defrost - the date on it is 30th March.

I definitely haven't bought it in the past few weeks, which tells me it's much older than I thought.

I always pop meat in the freezer the day I buy it if we don't plan to use straight away but It's been frozen for the best part of a year.

Will it be fine? 😬

Yes fine.

It's nearly a year old and will start to lose it's consistency and taste, though it'll be safe to eat if cooked thoroughly.

it will be fine. That’s what freezers are for. We have frozen milk that 4 months out. defrost no problem. People are getting silly over dates.
