-Don't pick up their dog's poo
-drop litter
-park like a knob ie half on the pavement so anyone with a pushchair or in a wheelchair has to walk into the road
-are rude to staff in shops or waiting staff

and by arrest, I actually mean lock up for at least 5 years!

Anything else I should put on my Go Straight to Jail list?

OP posts:

The "it's ok, he's friendly!" dog owners.

Oysterbabe · 04/03/2023 21:58

Don't have a lock on their bathroom door.

Andanotherone01 · 04/03/2023 22:01

People that stand talking in doorways or at the bottom of stairs/escalators.
People on motorised scooters on the pavement or in the middle of the road.

PuppyMonkey · 04/03/2023 22:05

Put gravy on food.

GreyGoose1980 · 04/03/2023 22:06

People who leave their bags on the seat on a really busy train meaning others have to request they move them before they can sit down.

TroysMammy · 04/03/2023 22:06

Think grey joggers are acceptable and attractive outerwear.

The cunt in number 22 for being a cunt.

Put gravy on food.

Not even roast dinner?

Daisybee6 · 04/03/2023 22:08

Saw a couple of young guys in a sports car in sainsburys car park put their foot right down from 0 to god knows what speed, straight past the parent and child spots, where my 3 year old was standing by the car.
They then had to slam the breaks on as a car was coming towards them round a tight bend. Would happily have seen those twats locked up!

WindowGazers · 04/03/2023 22:09

connie26 · 04/03/2023 22:08

Not even roast dinner?

Yeah, erm, where else is gravy supposed to go?

PuppyMonkey · 04/03/2023 22:10

Gravy ruins everything. Sloppy brown sauce ruining nice roast dinner.

@Pressuretoohigh

  • DoubleShotEspresso People who decide to "just pop by" without calling first 🤬

The person who ever came up with LTN schemes, the single most divisive thing to happen in communities

What is wrong with LTN schemes?*

Everything
Raised congestion= raised pollution as was actually proven in my area and others, to the point where some of them were removed.
The total disregard for the vulnerable, elderly & disabled and those that care for them
The insane horrendous division it's brought to communities where "select" streets residents are somehow more entitled important to breathe clean air
The appalling impacts they've had on local businesses, many of whom have simply had no choice but admit defeat and close having survived lockdown, so very sad
The inevitable delays caused to emergency services (firsthand experience of this was just terrifying)
The misery of trying to get anywhere for a specific time
The lack of alternatives to car use for many
The lack of consultation with residents
The ill thought out impacts of these schemes for the majority
The distress these schemes bring to my own child and hundreds of others like them
The time this costs me and anybody else trying to simply go about their business
Not everybody sadly has the option not to rely on a vehicle for their living, the increased hours are exhausting, debilitating and pointless waste of time
This is a jokey but very true comment, but without exception every person I know to have defended this miserable insanity are the very first to accept a lift from me , I can't fathom how it's perhaps seen as more virtuous to use a car if you don't drive it?

This is a pretty negative thread of personal gripes

I think some of them are pretty awful and I really feel for the people experiencing them but you're right that a lot of these are petty shit

CovertImage · 04/03/2023 22:14

@DoubleShotEspresso Are you in Oxford by any chance?

DoubleShotEspresso · 04/03/2023 22:15

Devoutspoken · 04/03/2023 21:37

Double espresso, the ltn schemes didn't come from one person, they are a broader response to the car dominant culture, which I presume you are part of

I'm full time carer to a primary school aged disabled child, along with my own parents who are currently in two different hospitals 6.8 miles apart, the nearest of which to me is 14 miles, or 18 miles from school.
I also do volunteer work often required to attend meetings across a massive borough.
I'm a member of the silent but dominant unpaid care culture I assume you're not part of .

Sadly not Grin

Beaglesonlyplease · 04/03/2023 22:17

People who expect dogs to always be on leads (mine are but..)
People who stare at my disabled DD
People who ask if I knew she’d be disabled before she was born (yes I know what you are thinking).
controlling men
Sexist pigs

Artemisty · 04/03/2023 22:20

I would definitely arrest and take away the license of any driver who uses anything but the left lane for anything other than overtaking.

OneTC · 04/03/2023 22:24

WindowGazers · 04/03/2023 22:09

Yeah, erm, where else is gravy supposed to go?

Pies, bangers and mash

askmenow · 04/03/2023 22:25

The drivers that discard bottles of their yellow effluent on the verges of roads.

Drivers that throw anything out of car windows desecrating our countryside.

Councillors who fail to protect our vulnerable young (largely girls) from sytemic abuse. Not to name names. They should be held to legal account, prosecuted and locked up!

whatbehaviour · 04/03/2023 22:25

WeepingSomnambulist · 04/03/2023 20:53

People who say/type loose instead of lose.
People who say, "Myself and X went out to..." or "return it to myself." It's I and me, not myself. It is almost never myself!

Absolutely bloody morons. Makes me irrationally angry.

You're and your

How do people not know the difference???

Devoutspoken · 04/03/2023 22:47

Doubleshotespresso, not all carers are car reliant, and ltns are a massive benefit to many. Cars make life very difficult for lots of people.

Calling · 04/03/2023 23:24

Cyclists who do not check whether their lights are working, front and back.
Cyclists who use the pavements especially when it is dark and they fail to check their lights.

RobertaFirmino · 05/03/2023 00:08

Families who walk four abreast on the pavement.
The person in front of you at the coffee shop who hasn't decided what they want by the time the barista asks what they would like.
People who eat/allow their DC to eat stinky food on the bus/train.
Flip flop wearers with sweaty feet making that disgusting sound as they walk.
Disgusting filthy bastards who do not cover their mouths/do not tell their DC to cover their mouths when they cough/sneeze. Have the last few years taught you nothing?
Smartarses who come on threads like this claiming 'So much negativity and gripes'. Well yes, that's the point!

MsJD · 05/03/2023 00:13

Whistling badly in public. I would bring back the death penalty for that. Not for Murder or anything like that, just whistling badly in public.
