Q re: appointment

Asking here due to more traction.

I have an appt in the coming weeks which is bang on 12pm. My employer gives leave (not annual leave) for the am/pm of an appt, so if you have an appt at 10am, you have the morning off, 3pm - the afternoon off.

However, this is bang on 12, and the logistics of the location of the appointment mean it’s not down the road but I’m driving quite a bit to and forth to a hospital further away, so if I was to work in the morning it would only be feasible from 9am to 11am at the latest, and there wouldn’t be any point working after the appointment.

Am I better off just taking off the whole day as annual leave do you think?

Ask HR?

Have you tried calling and seeing if they have a different time available?

Though if you're happy to take a days holiday then do it. Cos it's more than likely that you won't get another appointment for a few months!!!
