To want my old electric meter back?

Because the smart meter is beyond useless.

The in house display has been waiting for data ever since it was installed about 6 weeks ago. I've no idea how much we're using. Scottish Power keep emailing me asking for meter readings because the signal does not work in our area so they're not getting automatic readings.

I can't work out how to read the f*cking thing and although I've asked I've had no reply at all.

I want to change tariff and it's blocking me doing so because the meter isn't working properly.

There's nothing I can do because apparently it's an area wide problem with the signal. I've asked to go back to my old meter which I could actually read and monitor and they've refused.

What's the point? I took a day off work for them to install this piece of rubbish and to add insult to injury the last bill was ENORMOUS and I mean crippling and I've no way of reading the stupid thing to work out what it should be.

I'd complain to your MP there are probably others locally in the same situation.

Probably - sadly our MP seems to be about as useful as my new smart meter

If google your meter make/model you should find out how to read it.

Thank you I hadn't thought of that and I did find the instrutions online - it actually turned out to be quite simple in the end

Excellent - good luck with getting the tariff sorted if you can.
