I mean I know I'm not but am interested in how others would feel.
Goes without saying this is light-hearted.
Ds is 17, in college and works part time however the bulk of his non college time is spent in the gym (he pays his membership out of his wages).
Money is tight due to general cost of living but also I took a pay cut last year, that's another story.
Had to cancel a meal out tomorrow night, no spare cash for saving but not struggling to eat or pay bills kinda place at the mo.
Went to lidl on way home to get us gammon and eggs to add to home made sw type chips.
No eggs of course so wandered round to the chicken (don't fancy chicken) and find two fillet steaks in the reduced bin amongst a few other bargains actually. They were reduced from over £11 to £2 and are about 170g each. Price was for the both, wahey!
He'll be at the gym until late ish so we're having steak and he's got haddock - we're all having the same veg and chips.
He won't mind (much) but I'm over the moon that I'm getting such a treat on a Tuesday. His will sit on a plate until after 8 pm which would be outrageous for a fillet steak.
Am I out of order? Should I have bought an extra steak for the laddo? That would have cost an extra £4 on top so seemed like madness 😂
Oh well, down the hatch, I'll treat him next time. Honest 😁
