PanicPants · 09/02/2008 21:04

It was a nice day..

WriggleJiggle · 09/02/2008 21:04

bbqs in winter are great. We have learnt over the years though to stock pile charcoal at the end of the summer for our winter bbqs. Have you ever tried looking for charcoal in the winter !

southeastastra · 09/02/2008 21:04

cause it stinks! my house smells of cooked steak. we only have small gardens too.

The weather has been great today - can't say I blame them.

I understand that seems strange to be able to do that in Feb - especially if you'd got your washing on the line for the fisrt time in ages (like me!)

evenhope · 09/02/2008 21:05

Oh I feel for you.

I hate the summer- every weekend at least one of our neighbours has a barbecue. If it was winter as well I would go mad.

moondog · 09/02/2008 21:06

Why?
My parents bbq and stirfry outside in all weathers.
Keeps the house a hell of a lot cleaner.

When we lived in Turkey, they would be bbqing outside in kneed deep snow.

cinnamontam · 09/02/2008 21:06

Probably Aussies or Kiwi's. We BBQ all year round at our place. Why is the stink ok in summer but not now?

southeastastra · 09/02/2008 21:07

they're from sa cinnamontam, the stink give me a headache

DeeRiguer · 09/02/2008 21:07

unreasonable?...unseasonable, no?
i hate them anyway anytime of the year
so no you are not yourself being unreasonable..

do a rain dance

cinnamontam · 09/02/2008 21:09

Oh yes...they love to BBQ anything. Sorry to hear it's making you sick. That is definitely an issue with the small gardens.

Rain dance won't stop them. They'll just do what we do and stand in our wellies with big umbrella

southeastastra · 09/02/2008 21:13

lol

pukkapatch · 09/02/2008 21:35

you're not invited are you?

violetsky · 09/02/2008 21:35

vlc are you sure you aren't sea neighbour

DeeRiguer · 09/02/2008 22:14

oh you bbq types are hardier than i thought

hope and pray for cleansing the air storm with thunder and lightening..that'll teach em..

i truly hate bbq the taste the thing and everything was force fed it one holiday and not converted
you can cook and then eat outside wtf is wrong with that
our neighbor does one once a week in the summer and the smell of petrol or whatever makes us gag on our food
and those portable ones that scorch park grass..

TheBlonde · 09/02/2008 22:17

ours is broken, otherwise DH would happily BBQ all year round whatever the weather

Is this a trick question, SEA? Do you live in Australia?

3andnomore · 09/02/2008 22:23

hm, for us BBQ is just a way to cook food...so, we tend to do bbq's whenever it's dry enough, warm enough to cook outside...
so, YABU in my opinion...

How fab, a bbq today, wish I'd thought of that. Wonderful. Earliest we got out there in the past has been March. Love it.
