Travel agent friend

My friend started their own travel agent business a few months back and always asks everyone to use them instead of big companies, of course I would love to every time! But their prices just can't compete with what I find online. I send them the details and say if you can price match I will book with you...they can't and then proceed to send me others holidays they have and say to let them know which I prefer to book......AIBU to not use her and book myself to save money?

Is it a travel MLM? If so, I would not support it and would distance myself until she sees sense and leaves, pretending the whole thing was a fever dream.

I think it could be as she posts about people joining her team ect and says she'll get a cut of their commission too.

Book with whoever you want to use.

Ahh yes, then stay well away! Book with a reputable travel company and just don't mention holidays to your friend.

I always wonder how travel agents are still in business. There are some decent deals but they can seldom match online prices. What can they do that I can’t do myself?
