Nose piercing on just turned 14yo

AIBU to think it's too young? My dd had her ears pierced at 10 after a year of begging me, so I'm not against piercings.

I was just shocked my friend let her dd get her nose done and think it's too young for facial piercing!

Surely school would mention it?

My parents were so strict about piercings. I was like 14 when I was finally allowed to get my ear lobes done. Just the one hole in each. I was way behind everyone else who had theirs done so much earlier.

As a result I went mad and between the age of 14 and 15 I pierced my own nose. And put like 5 extra holes in my ears.

And paid for another at the top of my ear.

I dont thing a nose piercing is that big a deal really

Most schools won't allow nose piercings especially rings but some may turn a bit of a blind eye to very small studs. My daughter wanted her belly button pierced from 14 but I said to wait til 16 and really do her research. She had it pierced the weekend of her 16th birthday, still loves it, no infections and healed perfectly,

Pretty Standard. Let her do it. It will mean a lot to her.

Dd had her nose done at 15. I quite like it. It suits her.
although she didn’t get a part time job at a pet store because of it. They didn’t even ask her if she would remove it for work. Just sent an email saying we can’t employ you with a facial piercing!

she has multiple ear piercings now and belly button. I don’t mind piercing as they can be taken out and most heal up quite quickly.

It's so refreshing to see some normal people on this thread like myself who see no issue with piercings at all, unlike the usual 'my little darling can't have her ears pierced till she is 37 as one stud in the earlobe is the gateway to a heroin addiction' brigade.
