Bad interview kept me updated - AIBU thinking I have a chance

I didn’t prepare for an interview very well (new industry) and i received an email the next day writing “sorry we didn’t let you know about when we will let you know about next steps etc”.

should I see this as a good sign or just HR righting a wrong?

no they just forgot to tell me in the interview

I don’t think it indicates anything either way. Try to forget about it and wait and see.
