I am so fed up of a lack of food in shops.

This has been going on for a few years but is only getting worse. I had to go to 3 supermarkets before I found some eggs. No lettuce at all, a few packs of salad tomatoes available in one supermarket, loads of empty spaces in the fruit and veg section, and in ASDA even the freezers had loads of empty spaces.

Before anyone says yes I know we will not starve, there is enough actual food. But a visit to a supermarket now is a lottery about what will be available and what is missing. And more and more I am having to visit multiple shops to get absolute basics.

How is it right in 2023 that the Duke Of Beaufort owns 58000 acres that no one is allowed to see and the Duke of Westminster owns most of London and doesn't have to pay inheritance tex.

Because suppliers prioritise those on the continent because they pay higher prices.

Exactly, people in the U.K. want very cheap food, U.K. supermarkets aren’t prioritised when there’s supply issues other countries pay more. You get what you pay for and the U.K. are cheapskates about food.

you are missing the point completely and probably purposefully - if there are no salad ingredients then eat something else. It's not the end of the world. You won't die or fade away or starve. You just have to eat something else. The world has gone mad.

It was replying to the comment that private school toffs ruined the country and there would be an enquiry if they'd gone to state school. Liz Truss really did screw the country and went to state school. No enquiry.

She was a blip though. Look at Cameron and (real name Gideon) Osborne, Sunak is a Winchester boy and 65% of his cabinet weny to private schools.
For all of his 'man of the people ' schtick, Nigel Farage went to Dulwich college.

Oh I see. So the person who overnight crashed the economy and fucked the country completely AND went to state school was just a blip. That's OK then.

An oversubscribed good state school that apparently did well to get her to Oxford (the daughter of someone I know professionally was a contemporary).

Despite managing to get to Oxford with her school's support she hasn't stopped smearing the school since.

Not enough salad and veg because our supply chains are weak and incompetence led inflation caused a decline in our farming output, eat something else. Energy too expensive, heat your home less and learn to be cold. Fuel too expensive, don’t drive and limit your life. Can’t get an ambulance, call 111 to never have your call answered, you won’t die, or maybe you will, but never mind it’s no biggie. Passport renewal is delayed because the service is badly run, don’t travel, it’s not the end of the world. Can’t afford to live because you pay more tax than ever for less return, never mind keep calm and carry on.

Like I said, raise your bar. Or keep bending over.
