Niche jobs

I've read a few people on other threads refer to their jobs as "niche jobs" and each time I've wondered what constitutes as niche? I have a very common, public sector, vocational job so if you have what's considered a niche job - go on, share! I'm very curious,

For a long time, anyone who was bothered could search my posts and figure out both my job and my city - which would identify me as I'm the only woman. I'd say that's reasonably niche! (And the reason I won't be posting what my actual job is.)

Front line support for web based financial planning tool, to members of a training course. That may be quite niche but there may be other products out there which have a few hundred users.

Can't reveal my exact job but basically my boss created the role/job. There's probably less than 15 ppl who do what we do worldwide. Its in finance but very specific.

There's about 8 people in the country who do the same/similar job as me in a very specific field of Children's mental health. I'd say it's pretty niche, but it's not something that someone couldn't learn and practice if they had the right professional qualifications.
