I need to replace my Cath Kidson handbag which has broken after many years! I’ve been wanting a change for a while but don’t know what sort of day bag I want!! Can you send pics of yours for inspiration?!

I go for mini rucksacks usually. I get them on Vinted so I have several different ones to go with whatever outfit

I cycle a Coach cross body, a Radley and a Kate Spade.

I have a nice bright blue Anya Hindmarch Elrod for summer.

I have a satchel from The Leather Satchel Co and a couple of plain leather Coach bags in different sizes. Also a Kipling cross-body for travelling light.

I have two cross body bags from M&S, tan and black, a Coach black shoulder bag and a Kate Spade multi colour shoulder bag for the summer that I bought last year.

@handsoffate do they smell like leather? I'm obsessed with the smell and also looking to get a bag. Weird I know!

I have a moss coloured 10 litre eastpak backpack

I've got a small beige crossbody one with flowers on and a two tone black and cream Jasper Conran one, they're for just nipping to the shop or whatever. For going out I have a white Michael Kors with a bright pattern and a plain black Mulberry.

I've been using a michael kors satchel at the mo in a tan/brown colour. Not the normal brand I go for but it was really reasonable on offer and it goes with everything. Can easily make it look casual or dressed up.

I'm in the market for a bigger black bag.

I have this in Navy from Lulu Guinness. I much prefer cross body bags and this one fits just about everything in, though I did get it half price in the sale last year.

Mulberry Anthony crossbody. It's still going strong after 10 years of almost daily use. It's so harsh and has stood up to some serious neglect. I absolutely love it.

the leather satchel co make ridiculously robust bags. I’ve had mine for 12 years I think. But I find it’s not practical and a bit too stiff.

river island have upped their game since my teenage years.

i bought my mate a Michael kors bag for her birthday from an outlet with further £ off and I noticed it was well made. (York designer outlet) there’s also a Ralph Lauren there. Their bags are cheaper thank you think and super quality. But best to buy when the outlet has a sale on the already discounted products.

vivienne Westwood/ Kate spade bags are pretty robust too.

I got a Gucci black crossbody for my 29th bday and although it was a nice treat not half as robust as a leather satchel. It’s lost its camera bag shape and looks a bit sad and droopy. it’s probably got a couple more years before it looks like a drowned rat.

Kurt Geiger bags always look pretty special to me. TK maxx have begun to stock them .

I love my Elvis & Kresse bags.

But my fall back fav go it is a tan leather saddlebag type I bought in Italy about 20 years ago. It really is timeless & has aged so well. No brand just quality. Strap long enough to wear cross body, big enough to fit everything I need inc folding umbrella and water bottle if necessary. 2 zipped pockets & 2 large compartments. But not a massive bag.

I’m liking Fiorelli at the minute. Have a black one I use for work and a grey cross body. Really like them.
