I'm due to fly in 2 weeks, 6 hour flight. Iv flown all my life and been absolutely fine used to love it. The last 2 years or so I now get panicky- and had a panic attack on one flight as it was a small plane and it was dark and noisy. Since then any flight I go on I get very claustrophobic, my mum has also suffered with this and it's either genetic or iv grown up seeing her go through this. I'm due to speak to a therapist to find ways of coping etc.

I used to have diazepam in my bag , never took it but knew it was there if I needed it. I can't use that now and also can't use anything like Kalms

Does anyone have any remedies they have used which work/help. Iv heard I can use bachs rescue remedy, and chamomile tea. But again there's quite conflicting info regarding them.

Getting into a bit of a state whenever I think about it, even though I know it's irrational

Why can't you use the ones you've mentioned? It would help in recommending alternatives.

Taking an occasional diazepam during pregnancy is not harmful. The stress you are going through over this and the stress of the flight will be more harmful than taking the medicine. Talk to your doctor or someone who can reassure you about this.

I read that it's ok and then I read something else that says actually it's not ok. I will speak to my gp beforehand, he was never happy to give me even the diazepam last year. I doubt he will know anything about herbal meds too.
