I'm feeling particularly tired and stressed this week compared to the previous weeks. Not sure if it's just me in my head or if others are feeling it too?

How are you feeling this week?

OP posts:
NancyJoan · 21/02/2023 07:02

Horrendously anxious, and not sleeping at all. This isn’t normal for me. Awful.

Thewizardssleeve · 21/02/2023 07:35

same, tired and anxious, mine is to do with work though.

FourEyesGood · 21/02/2023 07:40

Sorry you’re not feeling good. I’m feeling much better this week, because I’m a teacher and it’s half term. This time last week I felt dead on my feet.

missfliss · 21/02/2023 07:42

Also that way - but lots of attributable reasons

Whiskyinajar · 21/02/2023 07:48

Right now I feel like shit.

Autistic 20yr old had a massive meltdown last night.
Work is horrendously busy.
I'm struggling to keep off the weight I lost last year.

Oh and I am sick of struggling every single month financially.

Apart from that life is great. 🙄

familyissues12345 · 21/02/2023 07:50

Anxious and hungry! Going in for an operation today, anxiety hit me a few days ago. I've been on an extremely limited diet for the last couple of weeks, in preparation, so I'm clinging on to the fact I'll be (hopefully 🤞🏻) able to have something to eat tonight!

DashboardConfessional · 21/02/2023 07:52

Ok this week mostly - my mum is starting some new medication for her autoimmune disease at long last. But honestly I think it's because it's not below 0 and still dark at 7am any more!

Littlepixie85 · 21/02/2023 07:57

Also very anxious and stressed, not sleeping. Things were improving end of last year but feels like things have slid this year so far. Mostly contributed to work, financial worries and trying to keep on top of everything with house, kids, life admin etc.

Pinksmyfavoritecolour · 21/02/2023 08:01

Fed up, tired, anxious and just run down I think, painful spots on my head and neck and chin, continuously one after the other, worrying about my dad who's poorly and 300 miles away and my mum is a terrible worrier, my boiler has completely packed up so no heating and hot water, boiling kettles to do everything is a ball ache, luckily I have a few fan heaters and a fire I can light, but I really want a long hot bath, it's my end of quarter for vat and my end of year and I'm struggling to concentrate. One day at a time is my mantra at mo.

girlfriend44 · 21/02/2023 10:52

OK, feel much better when the sun makes an appearance though.

Hoppinggreen · 21/02/2023 10:54

Horrible cold, not slept for days, loads on at work and a bereavement.
Its not great

ssd · 21/02/2023 10:57

Ok thanks, glad to be off work today

Yes absolutely!

ToiletRollTower · 21/02/2023 12:17

Run down, cold after cold but battling on 💪

SuzieBishop · 21/02/2023 12:18

Tired and mum guilt is taking over my brain :(

OoooohMatron · 21/02/2023 12:19

Great as I just got offered the job I wanted! Prior to that stressed and irritable.

Crispyturtle · 21/02/2023 12:48

I feel so low this week, unusually so.

I’m a ward sister in the NHS and am emotionally exhausted from trying to keep struggling staff going through each shift. I drive to work fantasising about a low speed car crash.

My kids are wonderful but I feel like I’m failing them at every turn.

We’re supposed to be going skiing in two weeks but it’s really warm in the alps and there’ll probably be no snow left, it’s not so much the holiday that’s bothering me, more the physical evidence of climate change that’s laying me low.

Its a bad week.

Ifeellikeateenageragain · 21/02/2023 12:50

Overwhelmed. It just feels like every time you think "right, let's get back on track" illness hits... Either kids (so out of school or childcare), or colleagues (so now more stretched staff are taking on more work and then then THEY get sick), or finally you get sick. I just want one bloody month where no one gets sick.

funinthesun19 · 21/02/2023 13:02

Just really sad and overthinking everything. Nervous. Overwhelmed and overcome with mum guilt.

SafeMove · 21/02/2023 13:02

I am feeling pretty terrified actually. Thanks so much for asking. It's really good of you to start a thread like this OP. I had a hysterectomy 3 weeks ago and my sleep has gone out of the window (getting 2 hours a night if lucky) and my mood is so low. I am walking miles and miles a day to try make myself feel better (my usual go to treatment) but it isn't helping.

I can't tell if it's menopause or something else. I have had to battle to get to speak to a GP and have finally got a telephone appointment this afternoon and I am so nervous about how to convey just how awful I am feeling. My DC are back tonight, they have been at their Dad's since Sunday, and I really need to pull myself together and shower and clean the house. I should also be doing my freelance work but I am procrastinating on Mumsnet and I go back to my FT proper job next week, how I am going to concentrate is beyond me. The overwhelm is real. What a moaner!

Lessoftheold · 21/02/2023 13:12

I'm not feeling great either, a bit anxious and down, but I remember feeling this way last winter so hopefully once the weather improves my mood should pick up a bit.

I'm thinking of making a 'winter plan' for future years to give me something to look forward to in the colder, darker months.
