Is this ok to eat?

Bought one of those chilled ready meals earlier. A bolognaise bake type of thing with meat, pasta and cheese sauce. Forgot about it and left it in the boot of the car. It was probably out of the fridge for about 2.5 hours. Will it still be ok to eat? Thank you

Yes of course it will be fine.

NuffSaidSam · 20/02/2023 13:02

Fine, unless you live on the equator and it's cooked in the boot of your car?

Idontgiveagriffindamn · 20/02/2023 13:02

Wouldn’t even enter into my head to be worried about this

catfunk · 20/02/2023 13:05

Are you serious ? 2.5h outside in February? Of course it will be fine.

VirtualRealitee · 20/02/2023 13:07

I've dragged shopping round town and then waited for the bus longer than that in the past.

lordofthepies22 · 20/02/2023 13:08

It's 14 degrees here so not boiling but not exactly cool either. Thank you for the reassurance.

I thought you were going to say it's been in the car all night.... and I'd have still said it was ok to eat 🤣

funinthesun19 · 20/02/2023 13:09

It will be absolutely fine.

Lcb123 · 20/02/2023 13:09

God, of course it’s fine. Fridge is barely colder than the weather at the moment

UdoU · 20/02/2023 13:10

I shudder to think how much food waste happens in this country.

funinthesun19 · 20/02/2023 13:12

Kids eat things like ham sandwiches that have been in lunchboxes in warm classrooms for about 3 hours and no harm done. No need to worry about your ready meal. 🙂

neverknowinglyunreasonable · 20/02/2023 13:19

I would chuck it and probably get rid of the car to be on the safe side.

Greensleevevssnotnose · 20/02/2023 13:21

Me too, you can't be too careful
