How I thought my future DP would look vs how they do?

I know this is odd.
I always thought I would end up with someone who had heavy lidded, dark brown eyes, olive skin and was hairy. I think it was mostly due to my mums obsession with Billy Joel and a lot of LP's with him on hanging around the house. I am also olive skinned, am hairy and have brown eyes.
DP has mousy brown hair, brown eyes but the sort which are more hazel, very pale skin. Our kids burn in the sun.
I don't regret a thing but I sometimes think about how he isn't how I imagined my future husband.
Did anyone else have a very clear picture of what they thought their future spouse would look like?

I thought my future husband would look like Morten Harket from Aha but unfortunately the reality is very different 😕

Expectation: Long blond hair , bit of a rocker, artistic, stocky

Reality short brown hair, balding, skinny, short, work in office

Tbf he was stocky when I met him!

Always dated tall, slim intense guys wirh a mean streak when young.

Husband stocky, chilled and very very kind. Wish he was taller but you can't have everything!

I've (not consciously!) had a very strong 'type' throughout my life, so my DH is exactly what I pictured haha - big, ginger, beardy 😍

My sister, however - all her childhood crushes/earlier boyfriends were the polar opposite looks-wise to who she ended up marrying.

Everyone I've ever been out with has been blonde, tall and slight. DH is a hulking great dark lumberjack looking fella.

I think sometimes it takes someone exceptional to get you to look past our 'types'. I still look at someone like Drake and think yeah you'd do, even though his personality is repellent

I thought mine would be 6ft+, tattoos and a beard and I was right.

I thought I'd end up marrying a woman with lots of tattoos, pin-up style, bright and bold with black hair.

DP is very much not a woman, blonde and has no tattoos, dresses a bit like a maths teacher.
