I know it sounds gushy and soppy and sentimental (like the Guardian Woman) but everytime I look at my 17m dd I think she's just the best thing ever?!

I just want to kiss her all the time and I'm sure she gets fed up with the endless I love yous. Despite me and dh nearly splitting and pnd and just think she's my angel ( even though she's currently demonstrating the ear splitting shriek phase she's just got into).

Is this normal? Do others feel like this or are these the actions of a mad woman?

(clearly i am mother of pfb though, and also think the same of ds, when not thinking he is a monster, that is)

Ah bless! I think you are normal. I asked my pnd therapist if I was in danger of loving my dss too much .

Needless to say, she put me straight.

Not at all unreasonable. My DD is nearly 12 weeks old and I constantly tell her I love her and kiss her. Probably the actions of a mad woman , but why not....

well i still feel like that and mine are 12 and 16

My DS is wonderful - always has been - he is 9 soon! DD is 4.5 and has been a 'chanllenge' in comparison to DS - but I absolutely adore her she is gorgeous, and wonderful, and funny and loving, and kind and oooohhhh I could eat them!

My ds is wonderful too. I often say to dh how handsome he is and he so clever too

It bowls me over every day how amazing dd is. Just when I think I've got a handle on how much I love and adore her she ups the stakes and I'm blown away all over again. I didn't know it was possible to love anyone or anything as much as I love that wretched little imp.
