Ok - so I'm not getting into the ins and outs of needing to announce these (I don't agree).
However, if you choose to, surely it should be he/him/his or she/her/hers. What is the he/him/they???? That makes no sense at all.
What does that mean?

It’s utter nonsense.

People are unable to change sex. And compelled speech never lead to anything good.

It’s all bollocks. “Oh, it’s just polite”. No it isn’t- compelled speech isn’t polite. They’re putting men in women’s prisons because of this shit. Enough.

www.lgbtqnation.com/2022/05/people-use-pronouns/

Here you go OP, in case you actually want to know what it means but were incapable of googling or asking the people using those pronouns yourself.

Thanks for the link. It was quite exhausting trying to understand it. I will try as my son is potentially on this route. But I don't 'feel' any gender, I'm just me, so I don't really get it. Being female isn't part of my day, other than when it intrudes (period pain/peri brain fog etc). Otherwise it's not something that's ever crossed my mind

In that case i would recommend asking your son to explain it a bit more! Most trans people are happy to explain stuff if you ask out of genuine curiosity and not hate. It's also fine to not completely understand everything as long as he sees that you're trying to be supportive.

The Young People at work tell me that it's simply that they don't mind either pronoun use. For example, a student who is trans (born female, identifies as male), says he doesn't mind they/them as he prefers not to even make any reference to sex or gender but if people must, is happiest with he/him. Other students say they mostly feel non-binary but also like to have "maleness" affirmed at times so express a preference for both.

I err on the side of pronouns bringing nowt but grief and use fuck/off if I must but if you want an explanation, the person wielding the pronouns can probably offer one.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Not yet another thread on pronouns. Do keep up.

God this generation has to be the most self absorbed whiny boring humourless fun sucking exhausting kids ever born. So glad I don't have to have much to do with them.

I know they're not all the same, my kids are thankfully very sensible science based and despise those obsessed with pronouns and the like.
