To wake DH to get my itch?

This is theoretical and lighthearted since I just had the most insane itch on a part of my back I could not for the life of me reach and was starting to itch-panic I thought.. would it be unreasonable to wake DH to teach and itch that I can’t?😂

Disclaimer: DH is still fast asleep and undisturbed by my itch.

It depends.... does he go back to sleep quickly? My husband would drop in a heartbeat and probably wouldn't remember I woke him.

Also, has he annoyed you recently? If yes, ignore previous statement and wake him anyway

LadyGardenersQuestionTime · 13/02/2023 23:21

No, just wake him up. I’m sure he will be charmed by your need for him, and will not just scratch your back but bring you a cup of tea to drink while he massages your feet while you go back to sleep. Mine would anyway.

(not)

Op I was thinking by the title that this was meaning to scratch an itch of an altogether different kind.
To which l would most definitely say, hell yes, go ahead and wake him!! 😉

JaneJeffer · 13/02/2023 23:24

Get up and get a utensil and scratch it yourself

onepieceoflollipop · 13/02/2023 23:24

I wouldn’t as mine would then be very restless settling back to sleep and this would disturb me.

re the itch - if you can’t reach it can you rub it against the edge of a door or something, or use a plastic spatula or similar?

WhiteNoiseMoreToys · 14/02/2023 22:35

I must have wrote this while half asleep as I can’t remember doing it 😂

thanks for the opinions! I promise not to wake DH to scratch my itches.. unless it’s that kind of itch 😉

Buy an extendable back scratcher

HoboHotel · 14/02/2023 22:45

Do stretches more often so you can reach every part of your own back.

In the meantime, use the sharp plasticky corner of something like a tube of moisturiser or toothpaste. Very satisfying

SpringIntoChaos · 14/02/2023 22:47

A bristled hairbrush gives instant itch gratification. Keep one in your bedside drawer 👍

Sarahzb · 15/02/2023 00:03

Get up and scratch your back on a door jamb like bear.
Whut! Why you wake someone up?

QueSyrahSyrah · 15/02/2023 00:05

DH would wake up, scratch my itch, make me a tea, fuss the cat and be back to sleep inside 3 minutes, and he wouldn't remember having been woken up. Damn him Grin

I would kill somebody if they woke me to scratch an itch (of any sort ) 😂
