No judgement. I have family in Europe but I couldn't discuss this with them as they're old (and related to my dad!)
When you go to Spain, Italy, France etc why is there always loads of teens straddling each other and slobbering all over eat other in parks? I spend a lot of my time creeping around UK parks (usually with my dog) and I never see any
Theories:
They are not allowed to bring boyfriends/ girlfriends home and definitely not in bedrooms.
The weather is nicer, teens are out in parks more
They are more sexual in general. My Spanish friend, and she is just one person I know, tells me there is way more infidelity in Spain. I thought this was due to divorce still being less common.
It being more of a status thing for teens. Here, teens just smoke weed in parks and sit looking at their phones.

You don't see British teens canoodling in the park because they're all giving each other blow jobs in the bushes if what my DD tells me is accurate.

I liveD in Spain when i was much younger. Yes youngsters are much more tactile and what you describe is correct but the difference between There and the UK is that it rarely goes beyond the snogging and touching up in Spain unlike the UK were kids seem to be having sex and giving blow jobs from about the age of 11.

@Whowhatwherewhenwhy1 not the case in my experience, your perception was probably correct when you were in Spain, which you said was when you were much younger

I was on a school trip to France last year. We had an hour free so went to a cafe and behind a bookshelf inside, a couple were literally laid on top of each other. Just wouldn’t happen in the UK (or not that I’ve ever seen).

Years ago, in Spain, a group of us-students-were on a beach in our uni town and one bloke was joking, saying in years to come, we’ll be saying ‘Do you remember when it was illegal to have sex on the beach in public?’ There were couples virtually at it.

😂😂 my daughter refers to this type of behaviour as well except her phrase is 'getting fingered by the bins' 😅 She also told me it's not uncommon for teens at her school to lose their virginity in the disgusting and smelly park toilets 🤮.... I wouldn't even go for a wee in those toilets! Jesus.

I think these things in the UK usually happen at house parties after a few ciders.

I do find I'm "in the mood" more during warm weather. I think it's because I wear dresses so sex is more accessible on a whim.

I'm so tucked in at the moment. I can't stand my own colds hands let alone DH's.

What's the teenage pregnancy rate? Guess what- 3.03% in the UK (births to teenage mothers), 1.79% in Spain, 1.3% in France, 1.24% in Italy.

Suggests the problem may not be overseas.

I was doing work at a (predominantly Muslim) school once (not in the actual school but outside) and my colleague witnessed two kids having sex against the school wall after school hours. Nothing would shock me about school kids after that.

Although from the above posts it seems they're doing it outside too. I do remember a school friend doing sexual things in a cemetery once back when I was at school in the 00s 🤦‍♀️ Now that I think about it. I thought it was usually at parties and in houses when parents were out.

Might be an idea not to creep around parks watching teenagers kissing. Dog or no dog. Might end up on one of those MN threads entitled "creepy weird fucker watching my daughter in the park" or with Catherine Cawood knocking on your door.
