Gousto

I have tried using Hello Fresh and Gousto recently. They are both fairly similar - nice recipe card and ingredients delivered to your door for you to make. We can afford it, it takes the weight of both deciding what to cook and buying the food off my hands. The portions are surprisingly filling and it really cuts down on food waste.

After trying both we went with Gousto as it had less packaging / the packaging was more easily recycled, but we are having a lot of teething issues. 2 weeks running now when I have gone in and tried to pick which meals I wanT it has thought I wanted a whole new subscription so we have ended up with two boxes, double the food and one of the boxes is just random meals, things that we would never get the kids to eat. It’s pretty frustrating as we don’t want to waste the food so we find ourselves eating good we don’t really want while making beans on toast for the kids.

i want one box a week that I get to choose the recipes for. Is this too much to ask for? Does anyone use Gousto regularly with success? I don’t think I’m being thick but I find the website really not clear at all.

and do any of these types of places do free range chicken / organic veg etc?

Have you downloaded the app? It's pretty easy to use as it lays it out well.

You need the app not the website. The app is really good and easy to use. Customer service is brilliant, and easy to contact. I'd recommend you download the app and login then contact customer service.

Unfortunately sounds like user error! We have used it loads and never had this problem. My friends often has random boxes turning up because she forgets to cancel her subscription or doesn't pick meals on time.

Great. Thanks. Will try the app!

I think only Mindful Chef do free range chicken but the recipes are high protein high veg healthy so might not be attractive to fussy DC.

I use it regularly and never had an issue. Sounds like user error to me.

Go I to your account and click subscription and see what it says there. It should say how often and for how many people etc

We're using it again for a bit. Their prices don't seem to have gone up as fast as supermarkets so I'm kidding myself it's cost effective...

I've done this! Ended up with too many boxes! Thankfully we were able to freeze most of it.
As previously said, the App is the best way to use it.
And we much prefer Gusto to Hello Fresh - the choices are better for my family and the ingredients are fresher
