A friend went out to dinner last night for a first date with a lad she was chatting to on a dating site and she said it went well and wanted to see him again so she text him today to arrange another date and is now upset because he said she’s a nice girl but looks nothing like her pictures and he’s no longer interested. I asked her to show me the pictures and she’s massively photoshopped them. She’s a size 14-16 and in the pictures she’s made herself look like a size 8 and about 10 years younger. I told her she should use real pictures as it’s basically cat fishing. This isn’t the first time she’s had a date off the site but none have got past a first date and one just didn’t show up. I want to say she is absolutely gorgeous looking by the way. She’s now upset with me but was I unreasonable to tell her the truth or should I of just let her be and continue to listen to her be upset after these dates. I feel so bad right now but also if I went to meet a man for a date and he was nothing like his pictures I’d be upset to.
