Looking for inspiration for little things you do or have changed which make you feel good / healthy / happy?

10,000 steps a day. Walk in countryside so good for my mood. Drink water. Eat lots of protein. Little treats - flowers, nails done, pedicure.

Mumof1andacat · 08/02/2023 15:08

I do a craft hobby at home. Either crochet or diamond painting. I put on my favourite music or pod cast when I do. It has done wonders for my mental health.

LadyGardenersQuestionTime · 08/02/2023 15:17

C25K and now run 5k 3x a week (although boy do I make a fuss about it…)

Underadandelion · 08/02/2023 15:18

Go to bed with my kindle at 9pm some nights and get a little bit of reading done and have an early night.

henchhen · 08/02/2023 15:19

Spinning. I go twice a week and I love it. Slowly getting fitter and I love the music. It's the only exercise I've ever actually enjoyed.

SafferUpNorth · 08/02/2023 15:20
  • Eating less processed foods and starchy carbs. More green veg, salads, healthy proteins and fats.
  • Walking every day (having a dog helps!) plus time outside gardening etc
  • Singing in a choir
  • Wine at the weekend!

I turn off screens around 9/9:30 and then read until I go to bed. Its helping me fall asleep a bit easier.

Every week day morning before I do anything else I do a boxing workout on the Switch. Its fun enough not to feel like "proper exercise" so I don't put it off. It makes me feel more awake and energetic and feels like it gives a good cardio workout.

OneTC · 08/02/2023 15:25

I never use lifts or escalators and walk or ride as many journeys as possible

Wavescrashingonthebeach · 08/02/2023 15:27

Start every day with a Bible verse.

Dog walking in open countryside.

Drinking plenty of water

Add veggies to junky food

Vitamins and supplements

Luxembourgmama · 08/02/2023 15:28

Walk dont drive, take the stairs rather than the lift.

TirisfalPumpkin · 08/02/2023 15:28

Journaling and meditating every day. Forming the habit is the hardest part but once you’ve got it, game changer.

PrincessHoneysuckle · 08/02/2023 15:31

Over the last month its been no white carbs or sweet food and going to the gym 3 times a week

doubleshotcappuccino · 08/02/2023 15:32

Don't eat till 12

MissHavishamsMouldyOldCake · 08/02/2023 15:35

Monday to Friday I more often than not have a bowl of homemade soup for my lunch.

Onesunnydayiniceland · 08/02/2023 15:39

running 3 times a week, yoga twice a week, three healthy meals a day and no snacking.

NotQuiteAChateau · 08/02/2023 15:43

Eat more veg.
Get outside once a day.
Exercise everyday, even a quick 20 mins of something.
No wine in week.

Habits I need to form: I should stretch/do yoga most days but I find it’s the thing that gets missed. And read more - I’ve really got out of the habit.

Pastorswife · 08/02/2023 15:43

A scoop of collagen in my coffee every morning.

Eating in courses: soup, main, fruit, chocolate. Small portions of everything satisfies me both physically and psychologically.

Having the mindset that no food is ever ‘off limits’ or ‘naughty’. Takes away a lot of the taboo and temptation to binge on those foods.

DaveyJonesLocker · 08/02/2023 15:47

Yoga before bed. Helping my achy joints and helps me sleep better. You would not look at me and think "yoga".

MadameSzyszkoBohusz · 08/02/2023 15:49

Regular Pilates, lots of water, lots of walking, lots of green leafy veg, protein, calcium and berries.

That'll counteract all the wine and caffeine, right?

MrsMariaReynolds · 08/02/2023 15:50

15-25,000 steps every day. I don't drink alcohol. I drink loads of water.

Still a few stones overweight though 😔

Mossstitch · 08/02/2023 15:51

My coffee habit apparently😇..... Who'd have thought it, they are now saying 4-5 cups a day are good for warding off dementia😂

4thonthe4th · 08/02/2023 15:51

Some form of exercise every single day.
Get out for a walk in the fresh air every day, even if it’s only 10-15 minutes
Drink plenty of water
Get enough sleep

AutumnCrow · 08/02/2023 15:56

PinkPantherPaws · 08/02/2023 16:00

Millenials1980 · 08/02/2023 16:00
