Being sick every day for over a month

I keep being sick, mornings are worse. From waking up until evening I’m so sick and when I’m not sick I feel so nauseous, anxious and tired. Nothing seems to be helping.
I’ve had it once before approx 5 years ago, it lasted about a month then gradually got better.
Bloods, camera down throat, CT scan all normal.
Gastro say maybe ‘cyclic vomiting syndrome’ sounds to me like thats code for not got a clue.
I keep yawning, constantly tired, lots a few stone in weight from not eating due to nausea and being sick when I do eat.
Anyone had similar or any idea how to ease symptoms or what it could be? I feel so miserable and my life is on hold while I’m stuck in bed so so sick. I can’t look after my DCs properly. I can’t even drive them anywhere because I’m just so ill.

I'm really sorry you're so sick but you can't go on like this. I'd be pushing for answers from my GP or calling 111 and seeing what they say. Are you on any medication at all? X

I had something like this (acid reflux related) when I gained weight (to near obesity). Lost the weight and it went away again (and then came back with the weight gain of pregnancy each time but at least that was limited time period).

Please do go to your dentist too to get prescription toothpaste and mouthwash to protect your teeth from the vomiting.

I had similar symptoms.

I found eating little amounts of food on a more frequent basis, rather than full breakfast, lunch, and dinner, really helped.

Eating kept the nausea at bay, and not overfilling my stomach prevented me from being sick.

Hope you find a solution.

Thanks, I’m trying to eat. Just having half a biscuit at a time and trying to keep that down. I just want to sleep all the time.
I’m took cyclizine for a couple of weeks but it didn’t help. I’m now taking omeprezole and that isn’t helping.

I'm not a medical person or an expert by any means, but I'd reckon half a biscuit is not enough.

I found the less I ate, the more nausea and vomiting I experienced - a sort of vicious cycle, really.

Again, not an expert, but the tiredness may be a symptom of your system 'running on empty' i.e. if you're not fueling your system with food, it will become tired and lethargic.

What helped for me was I took the cyclizine first thing and then ate, say, a scrambled egg and half a slice of dry toast. Managed to keep that down, then had, say, a banana a couple of hours later followed by a small bowl of soup for lunch and so on throughout the day.

It worked for me, but there's no guarantee it would work for anyone else. Still, though, it might be worth a try whilst you pursue your GP?

It's a miserable existence being, literally, sick and tired all the time, so I really hope you find the solution on this thread and/or through your GP.
