More hours anxiety

I’ve been very fortunate and have been a SAHM for my 11 and 7 year old. I have worked at a supermarket for 1 x 8 hour shift per week during these 10 years and due to our financial situation I now need to earn more. I could possibly get more hours here but it wouldn’t be school/kid/life friendly hours so afternoons, late nights and weekends. How do people cope and still spend quality time with their kids and OH? I don’t know why I’m so anxious about taking on more hours - I guess it worries me how I’d cope school holidays, kids being ill, teachers strikes etc. My husband works for himself and is flexible but obviously if he’s at home looking after the kids then he isn’t earning and his hourly rate is about 3 times mine!
I’ve been looking at other jobs online but I’ve been out of the job market for over 10 years and I suppose I lack confidence in going for something new that is out of my comfort zone but may have more school friendly hours.
I know I’m being a wimp and need a kick up the backside.
