To think this isn't normal re illness

4 weeks ago I got the flu and a chest infection, it lasted about a week until I started to feel slightly better. As soon as I started to feel better I got a fever again, went back to the drs and was told I had a secondary infection so was put on antibiotics. Finished the antibiotics on Thursday and then woke up on Friday feeling slightly off again, then today have woken up with a really sore throat and temp again. I'm guessing I've picked up something else.
Surely it's not normal to get three different illnesses back to back. Should I be worried that my immune system is low or something ? Or are other people experiencing this and it's just a bad time for bugs?

Sorry you feel so unwell. I’ve also had flu and two fevery-cold-like illnesses back to back. I was vaccinated against flu and fairly fit/healthy but it’s really made me unwell and it feels as if there is no let up from it. I think immune systems are bad as a result of all the social distancing.

Not exactly the same thing but I’ve gone through bouts of bad colds that seem to just get better than either return or I got a new one and it always coincided with the start of my period.
Our son in University is having a year of back to back colds as well…it’s unfortunate but sadly I don’t think it’s that unusual.

Everyone. Apparently we're all catching the 2 years' worth of viruses that we avoided during lockdown. All I know is everyone I know has had back to back illnesses for weeks.

This was me in Autumn 2019. My kids were at nursery. Bloods ok, no other explanation. It passed, but was very unpleasant.

It’s dangerous to extrapolate from personal experience to “it’s all lockdown’s fault”.

Sorry to hear other people are suffering too! But I'm glad to know it's not something I need to really worry about! Hopefully after this last illness ends I'll get a bit of a break.
