He told her she should stay. And she didn't and now says it was a mistake to drive back to her place. So why was he telling her to stay, where was this etc.

The first one could be just an ex who can't let go and is struggling with the end of the relationship but the second one sounds more dubious.

How long have you been together and how long is it since they split up?

They met up in her home town because he was there for his friends wedding. After the wedding he text her and went over to hers to catch up. He told me all this. I didn’t have a problem that he went to see her, I had a problem that he left at 6 in the morning. He text me saying he was leaving.

he doesn’t drink (religious) so I don’t think anything happened or whatever but it’s obvious they wanted it to.
