Teacher and TA appreciation thread

I have primary school aged children and so I often open schooling/ teaching related threads. I've noticed that often, posters who claim to be teachers/ TAs also feel unsupported on mumsnet, and those feelings must be amplified during the controversy about the teacher strikes. Much like the DH/ MiL/ neighbour threads, I think this is because the vast majority of us with positive relationships with our DCs teachers and TAs don't really need to post about them. I thought it might be nice to have a thread to share appreciative stories about teachers and TAs instead.

i'll go first: all my experiences bar one with my DC's teachers have been very positive but one stands out. DD was 7 and she's very shy. A fun, outgoing teacher made it a point to understand her interests and sense of humour, and then wove those into class discussions so DD could contribute more easily. My DD felt so seen and at 12 she still talks about that teacher fondly.
