If wom*n is such a forbidden word?

Penis-haver
Testicle-owner
Adams-apple-adorned
Prostate-possessor

Surely what's good for the gander...?

I think you'll find that the majority of men won't get all hysterical about what we're called tbh

I think you'll find the majority of bodies with bollocks haven't been subjected to thousands of years of being regarded as second class citizens. So ejaculators can't possibly know what it means to be reduced to being a body part just because some penis-havers would rather be a woman.

(Oh, and be careful. Your misogyny is showing)

Penis-People

I used this once when someone used the phrase ‘people who can get pregnant’. I nailed my colours to the mast and knocked that stupidity on the head. She started referring to ‘women’ after that.

Yes, I'm going for that- even the small number who've had theirs removed are still counted amongst the penis people.

SmartHome · 02/02/2023 09:06

Ah the old hysteria card. Why are you here Bob if you believe women are hysterical and shouldn't be kicking off about being reduced to body parts?

I never mentioned uterus owners/birthers/women/etc.

Devon Maternity Voices started using the phrase 'Women and Birthing People' ....in the last 6mths, this has been replaced with 'Service Users'.

You will all be shocked to know that 'Dads' is still fully acceptable and extensively used. Shocked I tell you.

I’m going to write to all orgs using this ridiculous language and demand they update the mens section with body parts to match the women (using some of the above great suggestions)

Many seem impervious to women explaining that it’s offensive and dehumanising to be reduced to body parts so let’s at least have some consistency.

I often imagine the website update meetings where this is discussed - does no one ever point out the blatant inconsistency? That would annoy the hell out of me.

Why would they care, you can reduce a man to his body parts and he will still have and know how to exercise male privilege. It's slightly different for those of us still waiting to be recognised as fully human.

If you think that's bullshit them you might like to reflect on your dismissive use of the word hysterical. It's used to diminish the legitimacy of women's voices by implying anything they have to say comes from a place of emotion and irrationality.

cunderthunt1 · 02/02/2023 09:16

@MondayBob fuck off bob

anythinginapinch · 02/02/2023 09:19

Prostate references would be good as it would produce a raging response from men whose prostrate has been removed, that they too are men and that the possession of a prostate does not make a man - that they were born and will die, a man.

Mind you, I thick dickheads is probably my go to

Ooh, I'm not sure. You're already getting a bit 'testy' and we've barely got started....

No, you played the hysteria card, which is worse.

Legitimate concern about your entire sex class being treated like shit is not 'being hysterical'

neverendinglauaundry · 02/02/2023 09:21

I like willy waver and penis wielder

Moopsi · 02/02/2023 09:23

Vagina lackers

Etymology isn't your strong suit, is it @MondayBob ?

Arseholes

Well for at least some men

Moopsi · 02/02/2023 09:33

Dick holders

newyearsamesh1t · 02/02/2023 09:37

If we are people who bleed, can they be people who do not bleed?

I quite like that.

Opens up possibilities for a defence in court 🤔

Yeah our local MVP has adopted this bullshit too. Except they omit women and instead favour "birthing people" 🤮
