Which magnesium is best for anxiety

I’ve been reading up on natural remedies for anxiety and magnesium is quite often mentioned. Can anyone recommend a brand they use which they find works? Or any other supplement / tip worth trying?

Following!
I tried a couple of years ago but the pills were so ginormous they were getting stuck in my throat!

Magnesium Glycinate and Magnesium Bisglycinate can both have a mildly calming effect. Bonding the magnesium with glycine also increases the bioavailability of the magnesium too, so your body can use it more efficiently.
I used to take mine in the evening to help me relax. I wouldn’t say in my personal experience that it’s a super powerful relaxant but had a mildly positive effect, so I felt it was worth it.

A good tip I was told for taking large tablets into tilt your chin down to your chest. It works.

You can buy as a gel, it absorbs through the skin too.

I found a hefty dose of vitamin D does wonders for my anxiety, I've not felt anxious since the start of the pandemic when I started taking it every day.

Ancient mineral mag spray which absorbs into the skin, better than waiting for tablets

I use the Vitabiotics magnesium tablets- 2 every night. They definitely help prevent anxiety for me, when I stopped taking them I noticed the difference within a week and had to start taking them again.

Also take the Better you vitamin D spray which helps me feel less tired but doesn’t seem to make a difference to anxiety levels.

Evening all,

My 15 yr old DC has been experiencing terrible anxiety and panic attacks for three years now. In fact she had anorexia aged 13-14yrs.

We have tried to hold back on putting her on ante depressants but with GcSE's round the corner think we cant risk her having panic attacks during exam weeks.

Our doctor however wont even consider it, says therapy and breathing exercises are the only way to go.

I am a Psychotherapist, so not against therapy, however having had panic attacks myself I feel some anxiety is so debilitating only medication can touch.

Has anyone managed to persuade their GP to prescribe ante depressants for their teen? and if so how?
